Fiber Installation Details
- All fiber installations require a cable to connect from the EONI network terminal to the customer premise.
- Standard installation require an aerial cable attached to customer premise. Drop cable length is 1000 feet or less.
- Underground installation has a higher installation charge due to additional labor and materials required to bury the cable. The following points apply to all underground installations:
- Requires 2 year service commitment.
- Minimum underground installation charge is $300 for up to 300 feet of buried fiber and up to 2 utility crossings.
- Additional utility crossings are $50 each. Additional buried fiber $1 per foot.
- Installation may not be available when ground is frozen or especially wet with rain or snow.
- Generally, we will only perform installs in dry ground with dry weather during the period of June 1 through September 30. We may install on other dates, however all underground installations are a case-by-case basis and no two are the same.
- If we get substantial precipitation regardless of the time of year, we do not do install. Muddy conditions tear up the ground making the work and restoration – which is an extremely important factor to consider – as well as being hard on machines, tools and most importantly, people.
- Customers will have to have some flexibility in scheduling given conditions can change, people may not be available, and equipment may malfunction.
- Customers who want to install their own own conduit are welcome to discuss this option before the conduit is installed. Installation prices are not all inclusive, each customer installation is unique. Additional charges may apply.
